Sacramento opened the scoring in the 19th minute when Jose Rodriguez Jr. finished a cross from Jack Gurr to give the visitors an early lead. Oakland answered just two minutes later as Florian Valot struck from outside the penalty area, curling a shot into the top right corner to level the match at 1-1. The sides entered halftime deadlocked before Sacramento regained control in the second half. Kyle Edwards restored the lead in the 75th minute after finishing a rebound inside the box, then added a second in stoppage time by controlling a long ball from Memo Rodriguez and slotting home to seal a 3-1 victory for Republic FC.
