The Liberty Lions defeated the California Grizzlies 32–21 in Friday’s non-league game. Liberty improved to 1–0 and will face the Monte Vista Mustangs, who are also 1–0 after defeating Marin Catholic 27–10. California fell to 0–1 and will look to bounce back against James Logan, who is also 0–1 after losing 30–10 to Heritage.
