Kansas State opened its 2026 season with a 3-1 victory over Campbell on Aug. 30, overcoming a second-set loss to close out the match strong.

The Wildcats took the opening set 25-17 before Campbell answered with a 25-20 win in the second. Kansas State regained control in the third set, winning 25-18, before putting the match away with a dominant 25-11 fourth set.

Kansas State finished the match with a .299 hitting percentage compared to Campbell’s .198. The Wildcats also recorded 10 blocks and nine aces while limiting Campbell to five blocks and five aces.

Addison Massey led Kansas State with 10 kills, followed by Avery Stones with nine and Sydney Maue with eight. Camdyn Stucky controlled the offense with 24 assists while also recording 12 digs for a double-double. Emerson Van Lannen added 11 assists and a team-high three aces.

The Wildcats finished the match by hitting .524 in the fourth set, turning a close opening stretch into a decisive finish.

Kansas State improved to 2-0 on the season following the win, while Campbell fell to 1-1.
